Our mission is to ensure that every eligible child has access to nutritious meals outside of school hours.
The Ujima Hunger Coalition is a non-profit organization dedicated to tackling food insecurity among America's youth. Ujima aims to establish state sponsorships and foster local partnerships to build a network that ensures every eligible child has access to nutritious meals outside of school hours. We believe no child should go hungry, no child should worry where or when they will get their next meal. And we believe wholly in a future that is not just fed, but nourished.
Ujima stands for collective work and responsibility. It represents a responsibility to build and maintain our community together. When children are hungry in our communities, it is upon us to work together to feed them and to provide the best opportunity for them to learn, grow, and thrive. Join us.
